Author Inspired Launch of New Book!
Sandra Lee's book "Father, Forgive My Father" published in 2005 has not only helped people world wide to heal the scars of sexual abuse, but has inspired her Xhusband Forrest Lee to write his book,"Trash Island". Released by Author House, Inc., it is the story of a young man's struggle for survival on the sea and then on a deserted island. Ben's story has something for everyone, adventure, mystery, survival skills, history, family, and even an ironic romance.
Sandra Lee is available for radio/tv interviews and has appeared on JoAnn Vandermuellen's radio talk show and Take12Radio out of Eugene, OR. She has a recovery message that is timely with April "National Child Abuse Prevention Month". We welcome contact from the media and are readily available for radio and television interviews. Let us hear from...we can help your listeners/viewers with urgent information on how they can help prevent child abuse. We also let your audience take away with them the tools to recognize the signs of abuse; then tell victims how to heal the scars of abuse...all very valuable information. Then let us entertain you with a reading from Forrest's new book, giving you just a taste of Ben's adventure on the high seas. We're anxious to get it out there where it can be enjoyed by young and old alike.
This is an example of the types of events I am willing to host. This particular SAVE (Sexual Abuse Victory Event) was a huge success. People who really needed to be set free from their past of sexual abuse were there. They expressed their anger and frustration and said how glad they were that we had brought this timely message to them. One lady, in particular, was 85 years old and had never admitted her abuse, even to herself. Today she is FREE. Another young mother who attended had driven with her family all the way from Montana (although she was very close to delivering another child). She was really moved by the message; so much so that today she lobbies all over the country and in Washington D.C. for stricter laws against abusers. She's doing a great work & I'm very proud of her.
Let me plan an event of this magnitude in your community. Contact me with your thoughts and wishes on my Contact Me page. Thank you.
REVIEWS: Read what others have said about this book
Review by JoAnn Tigue:
I have just completed the book by Sandra G. Lee, "Father, Forgive my Father". What an awesome book and life story to be told. The author shared all aspects of the history of child abuse through her eyes as a child and as an adult. More people should share as Sandra Lee has and the world would be a better place. Hats off to Sandra for being a strong and dedicated Christian to face adversity with non Christian individuals or those in denial of an epidemic worth sharing. There should be more people such as her to keep the world in a better place.
Review by Cija:
I want to commend Sandra Lee on speaking up on such a difficult subject to talk about in society. Everything is always hush hush. Sandra puts it all on the table in her book. Signs, symptoms and how WE, as a community can help speak up for those who are too afraid. Being a victim of incest and sexual abuse myself, I found this book to be extremely helpful in the healing process. There are alot of educational tools listed in her book to help you get the help needed to properly heal from years of abuse. She doesn't hesitate to give God the glory in helping her heal. You won't find many books written on this subject with a Christian perspective. Many children wouldn't even think of forgiving their father, brother, uncle or neighbor for this type of abuse. Because of the love of Christ, she was able to get past her emotional pain and scars and forgive the man who caused it all. For those of you who have been through this type of sexual abuse, this book has so many useful tools needed for healing. Please take the time to purchase it and read it...and pass it on to another victim. 1 in 3 girls have been abused in this manner, and 1 in 5 boys. Those statistics are outrageous! Chances are you know several victims and now is the time to step up and help by passing this book along. Very well written!

Sandra tells her story to help those that may be struggling with similar situations. She shares from her heart her feelings, struggles, pain and then her emotional healing and the process that it took to obtain the forgiveness of her father. This book may touch your heart like no other!
